Re: G Wizz

Somewhere in Eddies account there were a couple of "Irish" expressions.

IN  this particular case.

"Man we're sucking diesel now"

or

"Got a heart like a lion"

would have been most appropriate.

I "tought" that perhaps Eddie had re-engined the 1983 "G" for this trip.

Finding that he suffered 10,000 kilometers of 617 inspired frustration in 35 days non-stop, kinda brought me up short.

"cruising" at a heady 50mph.

RESPECT!

Oops

Enjoyed the magazine btw.

Re: G Wizz

Mark, Ian - well done another fine read! Liking the Eddie Blog and now reading some of the AGWOA stuff - New Blue members ebay bargin!

Though surprisingly not much mention of me in this issue......Shift+R improves the quality of this image. Shift+A improves the quality of all images on this page.

Keep up the great work!

Re: G Wizz

I got mine much earlier in the week, but haven't had a chance to read it, only a quick glance from end to end.

Taking heed of the notice in the front page; I did get time to read some of G-Wizz in solitude and salvation on the seat. With more constitutional time I shall get to the end of the magazine.

A suggestion to Eddie, re: oil past the speedo cable;  check and correct gearbox oil level and suspect a blocked breather hose.

Thank you to all the contributors to the magazine for without your input it would have been difficult for Mark and Ian to compile this edition. Thanks for your work as well Gentlemen for putting this edition together - Great work.

I have the rest of the magazine to read through at my leisure.

Re: G Wizz

Cruising at 50 mph sounds great. All to often all we're doing is rushing A -> B. Time to relax, enjoy the tractor throb of the 617 and not stress/worry about arriving anywhere on time. Sounds fantastic. If however time target, hmmmmm.

Anyway, awaiting my copy and increased constitutional time as Rakesh notes...

Re: G Wizz

Making slow progress reading the G-Whizz, I was reminded of the film DUNE; Eddie making his description of the smell of sage all around and on him too, took me to the Dune film, where they are in search of, and the smell of 'SPICE' all around them.

Did you ride the worm Eddie?

On another point, I was disappointed for you about the break-in you had. I wonder if a clear film would have held the shattered glass or slowed the break-in. The film would keep the shattered glass in place preventing a scattering of small pieces of glass all over and with some structure there, the glass may not have given-in providing some valuable time in prevent a quick grab -  point to consider. I do not know if this effective but worth considering. You did not mention in your article of the repairs effected.

Assuming the break-in was by way of shattering a side window.
