Or a car dealer REALLY trying it on
170 Horses aparently as well is there a 606 in there?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=121053955120
£22,000
Maybe the price includes the number plate.
yes bigblock, and the sale also includes the star on the front grill too......!
i know we all love the reassurance of knowing our G's are good investments , BUT this is taking the micky....
then again, the 170 odd horses could be arabian.!!

The G' in the advert above this one on Ebay is from the same seller and priced to keep...been looking at too many G wagon ad's on Autotrader!
the dealer forgot to mention theres a very large bag of cash in the glove box if you pay the asking price !
i have rung them and spoke to 'will' (very helpful chap) i explained my interest and he was very helpful despite i was obviously not in the market to buy their 'g' wagen.
the 'g' is totally original and has not got 170 bhp it is an original 617 non turbo ,very clean and tidy and is doing them proud on snow driving duties impressing all who drive it with its onroad manners in the present weather conditions.
it is a low miles ,very clean original example of a rare vehicle that is becoming very quickly recognised as a future classic and an appreciating one at that .
we should all be glad that this is happening to the values of our prides and joys , maybe the price seems a little high for such an age of g wagen , we shall see ,watch this space ..
A little high ? it reminds me of a certain secondhand G dealer from about ten years ago who had a cracking repuation for extortion !
depends if you are buying or selling.. yes it is expensive ,and yes none of us have seen it in the metal but you have to factor in this is original and very clean (so they assure me) and restoring a cheap rough one to this standard will be cripplingly expensive if you put it in to some 'g' restorers in the uk ,it may still be a better bet than that , you just need to have a black belt in haggling! ie. chuck norris!
if its anything like the orher swb 300gd they have for sale thats got more fibreglass in the back panels than metal dont waste your time , someone i know looked at their other one for sale the other day and said it wasnt very nice , its a shame you would have thought they would prepare it properly for sale then they might sell it for fair money but not for £12995 for a 1989 swb G300 diesel ! .
Hi All
looks very rusty coloured under the arches as seen on the big screen ..also would be concerned about the service intervals for the declared mileage....hydraulic systems decay due to lack of the 3 year flush ( MB service requirement )
propshaft greasing ( yearly) air intake box cleaning to avoid blower motor failure (yearly) not always good to have low mileage when vehcle is 25 years + old ..............unless the service history is comprehensive...
that' fixwins' right you know, at prices like that the paper work/history/service inspections needs to be spot on and you really do not want to start finding nasties like stevo's 'viewer' it doesn't give much confidence.
looking at their other stock the arnage or the 'c' type rep look nice ,the arnage(s) have depreciated something horrendous!!
now looks reasonable (ish) what a machine for the money.
Hi All
looking closer at the limited pics the idle control on the dash has been replaced....not the end of the world could have seized from lack of use ...but no attention to detail !! lots of pretty books but no Mots. or service book. and none listed in the advert
MMmm!! the mileage could be what you see not what the "history" tells you.
Have you seen the rest of his inventory , nothing is cheap , even the x type (mondeo) is big money
Hi all , lets see if they sell it and the buyer becomes a gwoa member !
