Fuel tank protection plate
Hi, does anyone know whether the steel protection plate from an older 460 diesel can be used on a replacement plastic diesel tank?

Don't quite know the answer to that one, checking the EPC it is not apparent. By an unqualified guess, if it does fit I feel it would look oversized given the tank profiles.
I suppose, options for you are to commission one. I will check to see if there are any suppliers out there for tank guards, it come to mind as I am drafting this reply, there is a chappy out there advertising G-Wagons accessories, only thing is it is more for the 463, I need to see if it will fit the 460.
Alternatively, write to Mercedes Benz Customer Services. All enquiries to them are addressed to Holland, so make sure you give the full chassis number of your vehicle, mention the enquiry and vehicle is from the UK and state if your vehicle is RHD or LHD. Stating all this will save time because they will evidently ask this of you in a reply question.
