Can anyone please detail how to (in easy step by step maner) clear water out of the front fog lights?

Have tried a search but not coming up with anything. My off side light is half filled with water (still works). Does one have to remove the whole bumper?

Car Vin and model in my signature.

Many thanks

Re: Front Fog lights

You don't need to take off the bumper but its very fiddly and in all likelyhood the screws locating the lights will have rusted up and might need drilling out. Its the sort of thing that neds regular maintenance and lots of rust preventer.

Have you been wading irresponsibly in deep floodwater lately, Spider?
Should have a 460 - foglights are higher up :)

LOL no wood and carpet in 460 ( apart from Axel's).

Nope I am not sure if I should persue MB about this as about a year ago I had the whole front replaced  (inc fogs) and at the time I did mention the fact that the off side did look different - its now has water sloshing about. It was water tight for a while but after the last bump I had - was thinking it should have been fixed....

Re: Front Fog lights

Joe,
There is a plastic cover on the outside of the light, there are two screws on the u/s which you need to remove.
Then you can see the light fitting with a screw at each end of the glass cover. Remove them and the water will run out.
The entire fitting is weather sealed and there should be a plastic 4mm pipe fitted to the rear which allows it to breath. This is ofeten not fitted correctly by shade tree mechanix and aloows water to enter
