Hi Guys,

I know this sounds a bit stupid but how do you remove the front bumper on a 463? I presume you have to remove the sump guard to get to the bolts that hold the bumper on,but how do you access the nut holding the guard on closest to the bumper, no idea what to remove to get to this

Thanks in advance

Re: Front Bumper Removal

you don't need to remove the sump guard, 2 bolts hold it on each side either 17 or 19mm can't recall which but use good quality socket and a long reach wrench as they should be tight. Take care disconnecting the fog lights

Re: Front Bumper Removal

Thanks for your swift reply, is this the case on a 463 or just the 461?

Re: Front Bumper Removal

Hi not sure if the method you mention is year specfic on a 463? i have removed the end caps from the bumper and the fog lights but the access for any long extention socket is blocked by a metal tab that the fog light housing is screwed to, any idea's much appreciated.

Kind regards

the extended bar is for levereage, you need to be underneath to access the bolts, I'll try and take a couple of photos

Re: Front Bumper Removal

one bolt is inboard, the 2nd is accessible between the bumper and the body work, this is the most difficult to get at as your turns will be very small
