Anyone near Leamington?
I am a new member looking to get into the G scene.
There is a G in Leamington that I am interested in. I htink the oney is a bit firm for a 460 at £6,495 but I wondered if anyone nearby would be prepared to take a look/have a run in it for me. I would go myself but it is quite a long way from Sussex and when I get there I wouldn't know what I was looking for!
Could this be a good start to G ownership? I am happy to reimburse reasonable costs of travel, etc.?

Looks nice and tidy to me. I prefer SWB, but for a LWB the 280 is probably better anyway, and as an Auto. Nice wheels and nothing major on the bodywork (or its well covered), and the price seems OK if as good as it looks considering what you would get for 3.5k say. Is something awry with the instrument cowling? Apart from that nothing seems to be missing.
Can't help with viewing though - no idea where Leamington is!
Haven't really been following G pricing lately but that seems expensive to me for a 460 with undisclosed mileage... you could get a decent 463 for that much money and it's a much more comfortable vehicle.

sorry if you got your request answered in four letter words but at least you know the service state of awareness the seller has.and what he is trying to sell..Hard to find a good provenance 463 LWB with nine seats for GBP 7000 ..one or two nondescript offers keep cropping up in the media ...Patience is is the way forward I think ......

Thanks very much. I think I need to sit out for the 463. Trouble is I struggle to find any to compare notes on at £7k.
The vendor of the Leamington one became very aggressive when I asked had it had a hydraulic flush (thanks fixin) and when I suggested an AA inspection so I think I wide berth made a good idea.
If you come across a 463 - rhd petrol version of the 1993 purple one in the gallery pics would be just the ticket!
