I thought the bulb had gone, so I swapped it out with a spare, but no better.

swapped the clusters over to test it and nearside works fine, but the offside dipped beam will not work. it has got to be a wiring fault.

Before I spend hours digging through the wiring with a circuit tester I was hoping someone else has had the problem and the fix?

presumably not a fuse as the nearside, both sidelights and both high beams work fine.

any thoughts please?

Thanks

Jed

Re: offiside dipped headlight wiring.

I solved it in the end, and thought I would post the solution here in case someone else comes along with the same issue.

using the wiring diagram I found on another 4x4 site.

the list goes (please correct me if I am wrong)

left high beam: fuse 3
left dipped beam: Fuse 5
left parking light: Fuse 1

right high beam: fuse 4
right dipped beam: fuse 6
right parking light: Fuse 2

The wiring diagram is very complicated and I am not an expert, but it does appear that while some fuses protect several systems, the dipped beams left and right have a fuse each that is not shared with anything else.

cheers.
