Wouldn’t be my thing to do it in such a hurry but an interesting exploit non the less. Who said LR’s were fragile!?

Oh and I couldn’t have put it better myself, this is a quote from their website:
“If you talk to most overland vehicle preparation companies, they will tell you that it is physically impossible to drive a Land Rover across Africa without a winch, Hi-Lift jack and 2 inch suspension lift. Excuse my French but what a load of crap!”

Exactly. Would'nt fancy doing it in 11 days in anything but at least a DII offers some comfort over a 2CV.

All tarmac or graded roads.

Why would any one want to do that, 11 days stuck in a motor, can't imagine anything more tedious.

Saying that, we could get a team together and shave a day of that easy, I know someone with a LC,

It was in aid of Help for Heros's so I'll let them off.

There’s far more tedious records to be broken out there i'm sure.

And this is why you will not make the 'Wood & Carpet Brigade!'.... You forgot the Carpet, old boy!
Would have to change my name to EssoBPMcShell.  And I would not want to go if Peter perfect was going......... he would be calling me every 20 mins and reminding me just how much it was costing in fuel! (and Him with the Old 5.6V8!)
