Visit to the Graz factory
The following message has been circulated to all GWOA members including in the club's mailing list. This is yet another very good reason to join the GWOA (where all others have failed, that is)

Visit to Graz
Dear Fellow GWOA member,
The German Mercedes Geländewagen-Club e.V.has organized a pair of visits to the Graz factory which could well be the last oportunities to see the G-Wagen production line, before the production of the G-Wagen comes to an end in the near future.
I have received the attached message which gives the opportunity to GWOA members to join in one of the two tours. However, the deadlines for joining in are very tight: 27 September 2004 for the October tour and 15 October 2004 for the November tour.
I am trying to figure what sort of response would there be on the part of the GWOA. I am considering attending the October visit and would like to know if there is somebody who would join me.
I have done a quick internet search for flights to Graz and we could fly Austrian Airlines via Vienna from LHR for some £ 270 return. € 410 are some £ 293 so I guess that we would not get a lot of change from £ 600 after the trip.
Obviously, since the deadline for booking the October visit is next Monday, in case you would like to join please let me know during the weekend.
Best regards,
Jesús Fernández-Salguero

Dear Jesus Fernandez-Salguero,
Thanks for your interest on visiting the G-wagon-works in Graz. But the date 28.10.-30.10.2004 is full. In exchange for the date,we will suggest you the 14th to 17th Oktober 2004 for a group (lowest 14 adult persons)or the 11th to 13th November 2004 for single persons (quantity is limited, there are already 5 announcements)
Please let us know your interest and send us back the appendix.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen
Mercedes Geländewagen-Club e.V.

Jesus,
What intrest is there? I understand viability of trip is dependent on Nos, I will have to confirm leave with work tomorrow & Oct trip dates now conflict with something that has just come up in work, only found out when I proposed booking leave.
What is difference in format of November trip, individual vis a vis group ?
Marcus
there is a slim chance I could do November, but October is definitely out of the question.

VERY URGENT: TRIP TO GRAZ
Dear fellow GWOA member,
Regarding my e-mail of yesterday night, I have just found that if we were to fly Ryanair, departing from London Stanstead on 14 October and returning from Graz on 16 October, the cost of the return fare is right now 33.40 GBP per person.
You can buy your own ticket here:
http://www.bookryanair.com/skylights/cgi-bin/skylights.cgi
This would reduce the total cost of the trip to GBP 326 + extras p.p.
However, we still need to put together a group of at least 10 people to book the October trip.
This is a much smaller cost than before. Let me know if you would like to join in as soon as possible, given that the deadline for booking is next Monday.
Best regards,
