faulty ignition switch...be warned

Her good self dropping little one to school...starter kicked in by its self...completely destroyed itself.... Fitted a push button to be sure to be sure.... This happen anyone else here?

Did your ignition barrel have excessive play in it?

No.. The wiring part of it is fixed to the end if the barrel so should matter.. Quickest cheapest fix is a push button...job done. Don't want to risk another starter...

Can you tell me what make and model of push button you fitted and at the risk of a smart answer, where did you mount it ?
