El Vado revisited
Wonderful day out: rain, sleet and snow in spades... water and mud all over the place, freezing cold, and some 175 kms of off-roading.
We visited the following places: El Pontón de la Oliva - Alpedrete de la Sierra - Sierra Concha - Collado de la Pinilla - Sierra Pobre - Cabezas - La Vereda - Santa María de El Vado - Matallana - Cabeza del Viejo - Collado de la Vihuela - Colmenar de la Sierra - Corralejo - Campillo de Ranas - Espinar - Campillejo - Ermita de los Enebrales - Presa del Vado - La Guarida del Bicho - Retiendas - Casas de Uceda.

Thank you guys. I have enjoyed countless days off´roading in the north of the Guadalajara province in Central Spain and i cannot believe what people are missing... thousands of square kms completely devoid of any human settlements and only a few dozen kilometers away from Madrid. The province has an average population density of just 21 persons per square Km ( compared to 67.5 persons per sq km in Scotland, for example). It is very rare that we encounter any human being during our outings so that you can say that we have the whole od the country for ourselves.
