drivers door central locking solinoid

Would about £54 be a clincher?

I have two numbers but I am not sure which door the numbers are for, due to a catalog error.

A003 820 32 42    ELECTRIC MOTOR,Left front door

and ask if their after market solenoids will directly replace an original part? You will have to check how many leads the solenoid has.

Never seen an aftermarket one that is a direct replacement  as the shapes are different. No doubt you could make up brackets but the OEM installation is neat if a pain to remove (the solenoid is right up inside the rear pillar of the door so you need to remove door handle, door lock to even have a chance.. and really the winder mechanism too.

The system on a 1988 460 is odd.. it has one switchable master at the drivers door and the rest are looped in a diasy chain slaves with switches to pass the message/signal onto the next slave as as opposed to the normal master/slave setup.
