Hello all :-)
 
I've been looking around for a little while, this caught my eye.

Looks quite tidy, I might go and see it on Sat... Milelage seems suspiciously low? Not sure about rust either. I'm very new to this so by all means shoot it down if you think it looks suspect! Anything I need to be esp wary of?

Hi and welcome

Looks a clean truck

These dont tend to do to much mileage but check out the history anyway to see if it tallys up.

It certainly does not look rusty in the usual areas.

It look like one of the last of the early chassis type (460) and the engines

are pretty good if maintained well and serviced regularly altough they are not too lively!!!

Altogether it looks like a nice example but not priced for a quick sale and has been on for a week or two

Thanks for the pointers. As you would expect I'm doing as much  fact finding as I can before I buy. TBH I'd be happy if the vehicle was substantially sound and could live with the inevitible things that will need doing for the age of vehicle.. Speed isn't primary concern as It's mainly to be used as a run-around to work and back (3-4miles) and for shooting type activities around farms. I'll keep you posted as to how I get on.

might smell of dog put you off and the repairs will not be cheap £3-500 for the spindles and heater fan replacement. State of the drivers seat would confirm or confuse the mileage claim as 460'S clocks do not exceed 99,999 miles so the figure you have here could be 158,000. Other than that it looks fine to me and worth a punt at that price but not more.
