I have a wee bit of a dilemma, my g is a swb and its nice and clean, infact all the hard work i have put into it means its to clean! So much so that I cannot use it for the purpose I bought it for as I would ruin a perfectly good G, I have kind of settled in my mind it would be better sold to someone who would benefit from it and use it for purposes that would be kinder on a biege interior!

The problem is finding something older shabbier and lwb, the price just seems to be going mental on them! my worry is I sell my G and cant afford to get back in the game with a lwb!!

This one is pulling at the heart strings!! I dont want to end up in a landcruiser or worse defender! :-(

Re: Dilemma

Land Cruiser not cheap like they used to be export has driven prices stupid.

You could buy a tax free LR and hope you don't spend every weekend underneath itsad

So invest in quality seat covers, if you need to shift loads a trailer??

Re: Dilemma

So, just so I can get this right...... You spend all those hrs carefully tending your pride and joy, making it surgically clean, fixing those things that need to be fixed, tightening those nuts and bolts that need to be tightened, those long cold mornings, on your labor of love, the wife shouting at you on Sunday afternoons all the while thinking of where and when your going to take it, all those mountains, bogs, muddy fields, rocks trees and grassy knowles you were going to conquer. Until that final day you step back to appreciate your handy work and see you have created your G.

Your G, your love, affection, those skinned knuckles, ripped fingernails and you sit there in your dilemma......which is a fair one, I grant you that. Yes why WOULD you muck up your lovely G? Well let me give you some help in making your decision.....

Step 1 - Look in the Mirror...........you doing that? Good.

Step 2 - Think back to when you were a child by the beach...... you there? Good

Step 3 - You have a bucket and spade..........You still with me? Great!

Step 4 - You have just built the best sand castle EVER!!!!!! You know the type; it has turrets, a moat, tunnels, you have armored the wall with sea shells, planted a little flag on the tallest tower, even made a draw bridge from the lolly sticks from all the lollies your parents are now suffering freeze burns from eating....Do you know what I mean? It is the castle to beat all castles, it's sooooo good that everyone has taken photos' of it.

Step 5 - Then comes the call... 'Time to go home'...... Do you remember THAT call? (I do) so what next...........? You going to GIVE someone else the pleasure of 'dismantling' YOUR castle?.....

Step 6 -  THAT is your choice. To help you make the decision here are some photo's of my castle....

(ok its a long winded way of saying that no MATTER what you throw at it it will clean up rather well, so go get some mud on yer boots!) cool

Re: Dilemma

Its not so much the damage I would do to it, its my mates, I want to use it for shooting, they would have it knachered with filthy wader, wellies, dead birds, I just cant bring myself to let them anywhere near it as they would take great delight in getting it bogging (Inside) and the interior is like the day it left the factory!

Shooting season is fast approaching like the tide on the sand castle so I need to think on something soon!

sad

Re: Dilemma

A suitable trailer for your mates and their mucky boots and birds.

Spoil them with a roof over their heads. Buy an IW pig trailer.

You could install a radio system for communication with yourself in the locked down towing vehicle.
