difflock on my on my 1980 230 g not dissengaging

Hi the front diff on my 230 g isnt dissingaging once the lever is pushed down the light goes off but it is still engaged any ideas ,can it be the fluid needs changing or they need to be bled?if it is wheres the resevoir and whats the easiest way to do it ,  thanks,don,

it will not disengage instantly if that was what you were expecting, it takes a good few yards of travel to free itself, if thats what you mean or do you mean its simply stuck on?

You are right on both accounts: the fluid needs to be changed every three years and yes it needs to be bled after changing.
