Difference between G Class gearbox & Sedan gearbox

We find the same sedan engine works in the g class ( OM 617 , OM 602 ..etc )

What about the gearbox ? 

can the sedan gearbox works in the g class ?

Hi
The Auto G'box from the sedan has no lock-up in low gear which means on steep inclines you only have brakes to slow your descent ....no help from the engine.... Sedan Manual 4/5 speed Gearbox is compatible with the G'

You mean Sedan & G manual gearboxes are the same.But the auto ( which is our case ) are not interchangable

No, what Fixwin said was that the auto boxes are interchangable but the ultra low crawler or braking gear avilable on the G wagon box does not exist on the saloon gearbox. This may not be a problem for normal road use but could cause difficulties in some offroad situations.
