Danish Army Prototype 460
My 1984/5 Danish Army 460 is up for grabs! Offered to club members before going the eBay/ Autotrader / Pistonheads route.
I consider this to be a unique collectors G and would make a lovely "high days and holidays" vehicle.
Gav has confirmed that this is the original prototype supplied to the Danish Army before a production run of 250.
Brief description - Military 24v spec with Eberspacher diesel night heater plumbed into cooling circuit. Purchased at Danish Army disposal 2001 for US $ 13,000 (still has sticker on dash to verify).
Believed to be less than 100,000km and general appearance and condition appears to confirm this.
Engine bay completely original and shows no spanner marks.
Minor body work perforation has been attended to, and paint touched in.Could benefit from further attention to paint to bring to show condition. No usual G rust issues. Interior original except for Army seats which have been replaced.
617 engine as sweet as any i have heard. 4 speed gearbox. 4.9 diffs. Wiper system redone, ditto heater. Everything works including rare original fog/spot lights.
Springs and shocks replaced in 2006 (previous last M.O.T) Sold with 12 months test, 6 months tax.
Looking for £5,750.

i have had a drive and it is sweet, it was getting admiring looks from drivers/ the seats are brilliant ,large check from a military ambulance really comfortable.
this vehicle is a bargain with all its history ,compared to the sad rotten rubbish that sells for thousands on ebay this is real value for money , also you can go to military rallies like the huge international show in kent etc as it is a true bona fide militar vehicle with all the intact radio wiring system (24v) , nice truck /very fair price.
I see from lenny's post there is a half brother in Watford for sale and very nice it looks too
Money is right and would make a nice addition to any G family [as would mine !]
