Does it have one?
e.g. Should the interiour light of my 1993 300 GE come on when a door is opened.
When my courtesy light went, it went with the instrument backlight and the off-side side lights. One of the 5A fuses.
In my case, I think it was a chaffed wire to the side light that kept blowing it.

Yes, the light should come on if set to do so at the interior switch. Check with the passenger door if the light works, otherwise, look
into the door switches.
Oddly, the glove box light comes on with ignition on or side light turned on. I never understood that logic!

It was a complicated configuration problem involving -
Stupid Owner(me), Light Switch Position and when is a Door not Ajar. lol (I wasn't opening door widely enough)
Glovebox light now working. This was due some corrosion and to contact not springing back far enough when glovebox opened. So works as it should when ignition is switched on and glovebox open.

The Interior Light works manually just not when door opens.
The seat belt reminder lights come on when a door is opened first time you get in. !
Put bulb in glovebox light fittin but it doesn't work. Hey ho no big deal.
