Converting a softtop

I'm in the process of converting my old factory fitted tarpaulin to a folding softtop on my 87' 300GD SWB and I could really use some advise/description how the softtop is fitted on the body.

Some photos showing how the folding structure is fitted would be very much appreciated. I'm especally interested in how the "bow" no 216 and the "spring" no 66 are fitted (Please see attached picture)

Also, the L shaped "ledges" no 178 are driving me crazy. With the factory fitted tarpaulin the sites are held in place with a string. I don't see how I can fit the folding top sides as they are held in place with push buttons. I have checked EPC and it seems that the ledges should fit a folding top as well...
