Clicky.....Dicky?
Why does my back door click so loudly (and in a horrible way) when I open it onto the hold open device!!!!!! I took it all apart and the spring mechanism appears all in tact and without anything missing, i also gave it a good greasing up. I can understand German overengineering but this spring would hold open the gates of atlantis.
am i the only one with this or is everyone else blessed with a smooth operating door???

Very heavy latching mechanism indeed ..the noise is the same on them all ..designed to stop the door guillotining you off at the knees in force 10 plus gales...the composite washer that slides in the channel of the door frame is designed to deaden the noise (a bit)
