 Hello All,

Does anyone know of a place where I can get a new front bumper? The MB part number is A463.880.59.70. It appears that they don't have any in the MB dealer network and nothing in Germany ATM.  It must be an orginal MB part, (as insurance and MB garage is fixing it) any help greatfully recieved.

(This stems from the accident back in July where a 'Big Rig' rolled back into me)

Re: Bumpers

Indeed Germany and Austria are awash with them, however not exactly new perhaps, but close enough:

http://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_nkw=Stossstange%20G-klasse&rt=nc&_dmpt=DE...

Or try the US, fourbyfourclub.com or Eurotruck importers might have one in stock...

Also you're not limited to that, if they have stock of a tow-pin one you can fit it instead (and relocate the cooler under there)...it's a bit dearer though, last I checked ~£1k.

Sorry Huss, I'm first in line for that bumper. My fists may not be bigger, but my gun cabinet is fuller. ;)

Re: Bumpers

I got a new W463 front bumper from Guido only a couple of weeks ago. There are only two types, with or without the tow pin jaw. No problem getting one.
ebay@industrytools.de is his email address.

Eddie - OM606 Engine with 123km and MB service history and a OM603 manuel pump done by Myna. Guarenteed at least 260bhp, but more likely closer to 280. Interested?

Huss - I've got to go to an interview on Monday, so you are right, I'll be showing up for a very posh job on a well used 600CC trail bike!

Re: Bumpers

 Finally I have some dates!

It seems that the bumper will hit our shores on the 15th of Dec. Once fitted they believe my truck will be ready around the 20th of Dec.

They have replaced the whole front bumper, the Brush guards as well, front fogs and some stuff behind the front Grill. I have asked for a complete breakdown on parts so I can list here.

Does that mean the engine bitty thingy, smelly, purry can't pour enough petroly into it thingy?

Tried to insert a smiley but to no avail

Re: Bumpers

Sadly yes. As the bumpy bit at the front end, has been smashe, so the bumpy thingy, that holds the brush guard thingy, that protects the engine (that is smelly and gritty) is also replaced. You can still pour enogh petrolly watery stuff in the tanky ( I know that bit).

Thats what I love abut the GWOA, is the precise, technical support one gets when one has a problem with their G (thingy) :)

Re: Bumpers

With all the bits they've replaced, you could have had them fit the face-lift parts: new 3-bar grill and round fog lamps

The chrome grill would suit your bling-tastic nature and sparking disposition. ;)
