Be Careful out there!
Hi All,
Just thought I would share this with you;
Last Saturday I was behind a Sainsburys Artic truck (a MB one no less) and instead of pulling away he rolled back, and back a bit more, and then a bit more until...... you guessed it.... bang, crunch he rolled back into yours truly! The Brush Guard took the full force
It was only over about 10-15 feet, however the momentum was enough to dent one of the pillars to the Brush Guard and bent it out of shape and push the whole thing back to the grill. Am just waiting to see what the price is for new parts. They admitted liability straight away.
Now for the warning bit - when I was down at the Garage getting the estimate, aparently this is a problem that is more common than most people think, so leave some space just in case, when you next pull up to a big truck, I can tell you, seeing the cars that this has happened to, anything less than a G and it will ruin your whole day!

Will you be able to get your scratched alloys fixed as part of the damage now?
Oh dear oh dear. Scratched the alloys eh? lol
Glad to hear you are all well mate.
I'm surprised you didn't put it into low ratio and pushed the truck forward, that would have given the driver a suprise.
