Posted abit about this before, water leaking into my passenger side footwell turnedout to be a battery tray issue, the issue was it wasnt there, neither was my bulkhead under it!

Re: Battery tray disaster

Hello johnnytheboy,

I suppose, to prevent this from happening again and advise to the rest of you owners';  fabricate a Battery top-cover simply by, carefully cutting a rectangular piece from a side of four or five litre plastic can.

This piece can lay on top of the Battery, preventing any water ingress causing the acidic overspills.

Cheers,

LOL yes it was me that posted that a while ago on the forum when i first noticed this, its condensation coming out of the bonnet holes dripping on top of the battery! nice littel pieces of duck tape have solved that!

Rather than cutting up a container I'm going to get the top off a vito fuse box from a breakers, they look nice and tidy and will cut perfectly to shape! even found a tailgate badge from cls that will glue nicely ontop to give it a half a ttempt at looking like a geniue part lol
