i drove this G years ago when max stil owned cavershams..
i ended being put off by the 463 and brought a silver 280GEL instead... didnt drive at all well. it could be lot better now maybe.
but what made me lauc were the ask a seller a question at the bottom.

I was the second owner of that car..the original was a college in Peterborough....I paid £11,500 for it in 1998..the original interor was cloth..not leather...then as you may know Huss Tim bought it of me for £8500 I think 2 years later.it then appeared in a very sorry state last year as it had been on a ladys drive going rotten...It was recently up on Ebay from a dealer, think it went for arounf £11,000 not sure...so looks like it never sold and its up again but by someone else.
Huss... when it was down as Max's it was still owned by me...I left it there for him to sell...found out why it wasnt selling as he had put a stupid price on it...so he could make big bucks....after 3 months i took it back and Tim bought it.
With regards to this current Ebay seller of this car..I do believe he was in the club...he was the guy that made a silly offer for Joe's V8 when it was for sale...when you had an AGM at Brooklands...so he wheels and deals a bit..and his humor matches they guy im thinking of..

I believe that it spent some time at G Class Centre awaiting a decision about a replacement rear axle ( original axle casing damaged due to driving with rear propshaft bearings collapsed) it was returned to the owner in Devon in unrepaired condition..has been on offer in the past by the owner along with two other G's as a package ( some details on the forum)
