 Hi,

my AC condenser has given up the ghost, and broken a mount and elbow.

I'm looking for a replacement and wonder if anyone can direct me to an equivalent model or manufacturer as it seems very difficult to find one at a reasonable price.

I have a 1987 GE230 (W460) , the Vin number is WDB46023827055xxx.

thanks in anticipation

Norfolk Ray

Re: AC Condenser

Hi

Can you PM me you full chassis number

I cant find a UK spec SWB 230GE with serial number 055XXX, (only 10 built with that serial start)

that has factory fitted Air Con

So the condensor may well be an after market one anyway, so could be quite a common unit?

Re: AC Condenser

Thanks Pistonhead for the tip on repairs.

Gav, the GE230 was a Japan supplied car, the full vin is WDB46023827055223.

Thanks for you assistance. Norfolkray.

Re: AC Condenser

Hi Ray
the factory build codes for the vin number advised do not reflect the aircon as being factory fit..which means trying to identify the type amd model of the installation or approaching a specialist car aircon supplier/installer and see if you can match the condenser radiator to the one you have removed....nice spec G' with all the headrests and recaro seats...

Re: AC Condenser

Hi

As per Fixwin's post, that chassis number left the factory without Aircon and must have been retro fitted later and maybe even in Japan, this should be reasonably easy to identify as there arn't too many systems that were available then and most will have used Japanese components like Denso etc so will probably still be around.

Nearly 3/4's of that years G wagon production of 230GES went to Japan?
