Re: 6x6 Pinzgauer ambulance for sale at =£17,500 ish ...

 Try Pinzgauer!
Actually, technically speaking, this isn't anything quite as simple as an ambulance. It's a "Trauma Management Vehicle" (TMV); a sort of mobile operating theatre.

We supplied the RAF and the Royal Navy with a number of these. They were specifically for operation on and around airfields to attend at aircraft crashes, the idea being that injured crew could be treated immediately and effectively for serious injuries on site. Aircrew are very expensive, so you don't want to "lose" them for want of a medical procedure that the standard meat-wagon ambulance, used until the advent of the TMVs, were unable to support. Plus, of course, the cross-country ride back to hospital in a TMV is extremely smooth and less potentially damaging to the patient than the previous vehicles could achieve.

£17.5K would be an absolute bargain.... the £29,500 guide price is more realistic, quite frankly. Although the specialist body and equipment were sourced and fitted in UK, the base 6x6 vehicles were amongst the last Graz built machines we supplied to MoD before manufacture of Pinzgauer was moved to UK.
