How to find us….
From A303 / Andover:
Leave the A303 following signs for A342 (Marlborough). Continue on the A342 towards Weyhill turning right by the church signed to ‘Clanville and Vernham Dean’. Proceed over the next crossroad and stay on this road, through Clanville and past the crossroads signed ‘The Chutes’ (left) and ‘Tangley’ (right). Take the next turning right, just after two cottages, signed ‘The Cricketers and Home Farm Tangley’, up the hill and The Cricketers will be found on the left as the road bears sharp right.
From Newbury / M4:
Leave the M4 at Junction 13 and continue on the A34. Take the exit signed ‘A343 Wash Common and Highclere’. At the roundabout turn right and stay on the A343 passing through Highclere and Hurstbourne Tarrant. At the top of the steep hill out of Hurstbourne Tarrant, turn right signed ‘Tangley and the Chutes’. Continue on this road, go over the next crossroads and keep going until you come to the War Memorial. Go straight over, follow the road round to the right and The Cricketers will be right in front of you.

2011 AGM Laning on Saturday.
Laning on Salisbury Plain .
Mainly wide open tracks, suitable for all G's even with road tyres, unless it's very wet. Non damaging, unless you do something silly.
Come and get your G mucky!
Meet 11 am at
The Bustard Inn.
Bustard Road
Salisbury SP3 4DU

And on the Sunday Afternoon from 1.30 / 2pm till 4.30 at the site we're having a driving challenge, rather than the usual off roading.
Me
Me too as i would like to put faces to some of the names I speak to on the site.
Never one to turn down a buffet lunch either.....
If there is still some activity happening on Saturday 1st then I will attend that as I live in Andover only a few miles from Tangley, and if there is driving on or off-road it will be great to join in.
Unfortunately on the Sunday I will be competing in a round of the AWDC National trial contest at Slindon, so will be unable to attend the actual AGM.
I think the Bing Map URL was pointing to Sheffield, try the following instead:

I am still trying to wangle logistics and actually make one of these meets.
Rumour is some of us are going on a plain off road trip on the Saturday
Have to give that one a miss, I will be representing Scotland on a cooking trip to France .... :-0
Some time on the plain on Saturday sould fun.
Have when and where been decided yet?

I bet only one G wagen turns up!!
how much u bet ?
Bugger - family chauffeur duties mean I have to go to Aylesbury on Sunday, 8am start to 6pm.
I'd rather be G'ing and buying some nice bits if anyone takes stuff along. I am sure I will meet some of you on another day though.
Always the scarse but optimistic posts from piggy.
Is anyone actually going to the Sunday bit or are you all just going out to play on Saturday?
Should be quite a few along on the Sunday.
Are you going to join us on the Saturday?
i think you should join us on saturday as well as sunday
Your not a member shaun, how can you go in the Sunday ?
Am only going to be able to come along on Sunday. Ironically am going to be 3 miles from the pub on Friday night at Essebourne Manor hotel, but have to get back for a memorial service, so coming out again in the G on Sunday.
Is anything happening on the Sunday?
i wont go sunday if im not welcome
Well I'd like to see you even if Mr Perfect doesn't. Am dragging my boyfriend along even though he isn't a member and is an L200 man.
Everyone is welcome, I'm sure. The more the merrier.
L200, I had one of those once,, fantastic bit of kit. Best hair dryer I ever had. ;-)
Not everyone, those who are not members must bring packed lunch, don't want them eating my share, and possibly seconds, of the buffet!
Yea
Agm = boring
Buffet = nom nom nom nom
Off roading = a laugh, watching all those 4x4 owners not having a clue what to do.
Bet your looking forward to meeting me !
I have to admit, the L200 has so far been unstoppable in snow and dodgy conditions. We have been through three foot of snow in fields doing hay runs for sheep and it did it no problem. Also took it to Dorset to look at and buy the G. The only reason it was still there after 2 weeks on Pistonheads, was that no-one had managed to get to their farm to look at it because of the weather. We managed it. So I have no complaints about our L200.
Hair dryer indeed!!
Will fight you to the buffet....
Don't listen to him, PP will share his last Vol au vent with anyone.
Any feedback on today's agm ???
yes;
weather was lovely
The food was great
oh and congratulations on your new role as Scottish rep!
Spider1V (Southern Rep)
Thank you all who turned up. I hope you all enjoyed the weekend as much as I did. Prizewinners were Helen and John Friend (I hope you've got your prize by now John). I'm back in the cold and wet, and it feels like midwinter after Sunday's heat. The RAC did a pslendid job recovering our only mechanical casualty, as Rakesh didn't bring his overalls, spares and toolkit
Best wishes, Tim
I would like to add my thanks to all who organised and turned up and made me feel welcome ( even after my minor sat-nav / ground clerance related incident). Thourghly good afternoon on Sunday and i wish i had more time to attend on the Saturday.
Big thanks to the people who gave me a ride around which saved me the embarasment of not having a clue what to do.
My only complaint was a lack of show and shine as the quality of my G out shone the rest by a country mile, even thou it was the oldest there.
Not far away now
Who is going
