good evening

 - i have seen and and been told that 2 stroke oil can be mixed with diesel fuel for engines in land rovers and other diesels to offer improved performance in older engines. would this applicable to my turbo diesel om602 983 engine?? the general concensus seems to be a 100:1 or 200:1 mix any opinions on this please?

kind regards dave

Can't understand why to use 2 stroke oil as diesel has oil in it, i was brought up on 2 stroke bikes and outboard motors, 2t oil is there to lube bearings (mains) and piston(s), unless maybe u run kerosene of which will dry things out you naughty man !

Isn't it because newer diesel has less sulphur , therefore poorer lubricating qualities?
