and buy a sticker 8euro
You can buy the toll ticket before you enter Austria, it is better to do that, as when you cross the boarder, there are overhead cameras recording which vehicle is ticked. If the Police catch you before you reach a Garage or Service station, it means an instant fine, and by my experience they are NOT friendly or forgiving! I think you can buy them at the boarder too but you need to change lanes to do so, I am not sure, I drove through and got clobbered; I was not very far from a service station either, but the Police still did me and they were under cover too, I think they set off shortly after I passed the overhead cameras. It seemed they were after a particular target, ME.
last year i didnt know about the stickers till the second day allready driven right across austria
in the pub car park talking to a young lady about her (puch) she pointed out that i didnt have one
next morning 1st garage got one only 1hr later a police car along side down the motorway having a
good look just in time lucky
