I'm seeing a wiper issue were the front wipers stick and park at full extension/ just past full extension (passenger side). see the image below. if the window is dry no issue appears (typical), wet the window and they stop. I've looked at the wiper arms behind the dash (minus the driver one) and it all very secure and clean no lose movement. any pointers to a solution would be greatly appreciated.

During investigating this I also noticed the wiper motor mounting moving. Is this normal? I suspect some movement here is normal due to the use of rubber mounting washers.

Re: wiper issue
Your wipers are over-travelling, something has gone out of sync with your linkage . Where do the wipers park on the screen when turned off. I have just done my whole system last week so I am fresh from the job.

Re: wiper issue

the wiper motor mounts can be re- built .

  you need kit nr.  A 000 820 10 40

your wiper blades seem a bit too long are they the correct length??

the lead wiper is the drivers side and a link rod relays back to drive the passenger side arm.

in the picture of the wipers parked your drivers side arm is slightly higher than the other and when it wipes the passenger side blade drives off the edge of the screen  a careful check off the entire mechanism is going to have to be carried out .

the kit contains all the seals and parts needed to fit wiper spindles and also re-furb the wiper motor mounts /please check the motor crown wheel has not got collapsed bearings .

Re: wiper issue
Check tightness of all bolts that mount the motor. Mine behaved like this when one had become loose, then sheared off. Pull the plastic cover off the motor to check. Also check bolt holes are still round not oval. Small amount of movement at motor has large effect on wiper sweep and wipers sweep too far and the mechanism locks. Your passenger side wiper is sweeping too far except when friction of dry screen stops it. Should be able to watch what happens to passenger side mechanism if you remove glove box.
