Window Air Deflectors
As it rarely rains in Japan (tongue firmly stuck in cheek) I've determined that I need window deflectors on my '99 SWB.
I've seen several companies offer them but have any of you found one brand superior to the others? I'd prefer ones that don't require drilling just to keep the G from extra holes in it.

hi gary i have a set front only fitted to my W460
i realy like them no buffeting wind when the window is cracked open
no holes needed the lip of the wind deflector slips into the side of the rubber seal
BUT can be a bit of faffing about tweaking to get the window to close
i have herd some have given up but got my ones to work OK
Do you mean the slim air type, ? Tempted as G with windows open very noisy. Doesn't sound good if windows hard to shut
HI GARY HERE WE GO FOUND IT

when you fit you need flat / blunt tool i used my kids school ruler
DO NOT use screw driver ect you will cut the rubber
to open up the rubber U shape where you have tight spots 1 at a time!!!!!!!!!!!!
will take a few goes but not a problem
and take off the plastic block thing (anti window rattle )
after they are fitted the window will not rattle
i have had them fitted for 5 years now and have had no crazing cracks ect
after car wash off road use general ware and tear
hope this helps adrian
Try looking at Climair, I have had 4 sets delivered this week. about £20.00/pair. Although they only list rears for 463 they fit the 460 with no problem and are going to update their website.

Off to Graz to see S-tec 29th June for my arch extensions and Hutchinsons so see you in July Adrian. I bought the roof rack from Karl Vogler gwagenaccesories.com in America. If you visit their website you will see a full selection of their roof racks. I bought a new MB one but it was so noisy when fitted that I took it straight back off. With this Baja rack I am unable to detect any additional noise whatsoever.
Adrian,
Yes, those are the design I'm looking for. Great color combinations on your G! It gets pretty humid here in the summer so being able to crack the windows on rainy days will be advantageous. If they are slightly adjustable when applying I'm sure I'll be able to get them set right. I've noticed that the windows rattle about a bit when opened part way while driving so maybe the extra 'fill' of some plastic in there will help. ;-)
What brand are they so that I know which manufacturer to order them from?
