Sav's is the only factory one in the UK I know of. Bruce's before that.

Luckily I got rid of mine to some unsuspecting punter :p

And the blue LWB (SANY1614.JPG) is an absolutely lovely truck! Mark took me for a spin in it before I bought the SWB.

Very good... Mr. Spider on your ww2 maritime convoy tactics. 'Q' ship -I like it! Hobart's funnies is an option also ,not quite as easy on the eye as the Q.

A Hobart funny in my world is what is commonly referred as:

' A G wagen that has been 'expertly' restored by a 'professional' person, for example; either one half of a brother duo or maybe someone who could possibly have worked in the aircraft industry or is likely to be advertising a company that could possibly have been struck off for bankruptcy. To buy a 'Hobart Funny' can mean putting yourself in serious fiscal and life danger'

BTW it was the Americans who used the 'Q' ships in WWII, we on the other hand were using them in WWI *sniff*

Oh yes and mine is a 'Q' ship - no ranks, badges or markings - that is until the lights go green.... yes - a cheap thrill, but a thrill non the less....devil

laugh (as ever in jest)

Didn't realise that I was alone in that regard, it's a rare beast indeed.

And didn't realise you had sold yours as I'm sure I've seen it knocking around North London.

OM 642 - is that a 350? if you're still local, I wouldn't mind a look at that as I need a LWB and am weighing up options...
