Re: WANTED W463 SWB RHD

Hello Dave,

Welcome to the GWOA ! Have you had any luck with your above search ? The reason I ask is that I have the above vehicle spec, but in LHD form, must it be right hand drive ? It is heavily modified for off roading though. If you are still interested, e-mail me on  gavin.blackwood@btopenworld.com

Cheers for now

Gavin

It's manual and missing Aircon. But I think Aircon will be extremely rare on any pre-1995.

Only 60,000 miles, if to be believed :

But I think it's been on sale for a fling time ?

Apparently SWBs are currently in short supply.

Air-con as Arnie says unusual for those years. No kits in the MB system either any more ..  crying

Hi Arnie, Yes that one has been about for a while. Outwardly looks pretty nice ! here's another but sadly no leather. but it ticks the rest of the boxes :- http://www.goo-net-exchange.com/usedcars/MERCEDES_BENZ/G-CLASS/700956001830150331001/index.html

I think a Japanese import (as above) will be the best bet if you want RHD. They will be a little newer, probably better maintained and have less rust.

Nice enough, but if that's worth anything near the asking price, mine's worth £25K smiley

Looks like he's trying to recover the cost of an expensive re-spray.....

Hi Ian,

I did say at £19K it was off the charts and a more realistic price would be between £12-14,250, which he agreed would be more realistic once I had chatted with him, however like most non G enthusiasts who don't know about the club and our resources, he looked what some 'steelers' are offering and though much along the lines you did in the above post. I also don;t know what spares he has (after all it was an impromptu 'Stop & Investigate') but we spent a good 30 mins having a chat about G's in general and was unaware of the GWOA.
