Hello everyone!

I'm feeling rather happy with the engine replacement so far. The om617 is out, the om606 is in, and it sits nicely.

Now I'm working on the thottle linkage. The old om617 has the stiff steel linkage thing, while the om606 has a wire. It has no TPS or such, just a mechanical pump (it's the om606.910 N/A from a W124).

How have you guys done with the throttle pedal when replacing engine? Did you use or modify the existing pedal? Or did you transplant the wire pivoting pedal from the donor?

Thanks in advance!

Use the cable and linkage off a W124 OM606 Mercedes have done all the work for you, the parts have to be ordered separately and work out at about £100 but work perfectly.
