W460 REAR DOOR POST REPAIR PANEL AVAILABLE
I was doing a rear door post repair on a 460 and a complete rear door post from merc is in region of £370 plus the vodka and tonic, so i took dimensions of the lower part of door post and had it fabricated in same gauge steel as a genuine post section. I have had some spare ones done if anybody has a rear door hanging on one hinge ????

Noticed your surplus door pillar supports,and wondered if there maybe one remaining,to fit w460, significantly distressed rear door......Cheers

......As an aside rear quarter panels adjacent to the rear door ,and housing the Taillights also completely Mullered;would anybody be able to enlighten me further in the pursuit of two such articles left and right(around Fuel Filler!).....as this would be an absolute Revelation.

IMO you would be better off to use OEM parts only about 20GBP extra
than micky mouse copys they never fit you will spend more MONEY at the panel beaters
than you save

That's a good point well made ! (I had not realised OEM was only another 20quid and thought this might have a quick and cheaper fix)

Yes, to clarify, I paid £86.75 for the off-side panel (with the hole for fuel filler) and it was in the UK already so delivery was v quick. I figured Euro price would have been additional £10 plus shipping. Maybe they wanted to clear some old stock!!
