w460 230 GE ,,from Botswana ..Africa
HI all,
This is my first post on GWOA. I have hunted all through sub saharan AFrica using almost all the 4x4 vehicles , but never had the chance to own or use the G wagon , firstly because they are so expensive and secondly because no one sells them once they get one . But recently i got lucky and found one which was involved with a frontal accident ...i found all the parts needed in South Africa and have started to rebuild ,,i am hoping that after mechanical , Denting and painting , putting on extras etc will take about 6 weeks ...i will open up a thread where i will put pics of the restoration on a weekly basis ...
I am desperately looking for an owners manual for the Vehicle ,, can any one help

You can get a Haynes manual for a w123 that will cover the engine but what you really need is a MB Workshop manual, which aren't easy to come by, looks like u need a bonnet, two wings, a bumper, headlights, radiator grill. I would guess a radiator too and underneath the steering arms will most likely be bent and the skid plate but those might be repairable. Lots off work but most bits are bolt on so you'll probably get away without a manual. Lots of work but well worth doing, good luck
