Vacuum fittings
Good evening all, I had yet another problem with shut off and up change in gears, quite a simple fix and easy to find now I have access to a vacuum tester( it was the rubber connection on the gearbox that had perished) anyway are the tee fittings and bends available(the black ones) I'm thinking of changing them all as they are starting to look a bit worse for ware? Many thanks Paul
Hi Paul
Yes all the fittings are available. Or i use the metal ones now, you have to make sure they dont rub on parts of the vehicle but they are way better. You just pull the collar back and off they come. Too easy so i fitted them to my transfer box pipes to save struggling to get to the banjo bolts on the box. Way better and cheap too
I will post a pic and they are cheap on ebay or any pneumatics store. Just measure od of plastic pipe. I think they are 5mm but check,,,, might be 4mm depending on box

They are standard pneumatic fittings. Also, available in nylon plastic -which is lighter - with same push-collar release.
Nice one, you agree also
Good help for people. I chose the metal stainless steel ones as they are rust free and have better seals and are not so bulky as the plastic ones and dont snap in very cold conditions. Either choice would be a good modification and probably cheaper than the rubber originals. Post some prices up someone
Good morning gents, apologies for the delay I have been working away, thanks for the info, I will be on the case this weekend. Paul
