Still on the lookout for a good 463 GES and desperate to avoid succumbing to "G Fever" and choosing a "wrong un".

I appreciate all the pointers and in particular the advice to take along a G expert to look over a potential purchase but this is not always possible. For one thing it's an imposition on GWOA members (at least I feel it is).

So, I was wondering if there might be a member/owner in my general area that might be prepared to show me over their G and point out the potential problems to look out for - so much better, I feel, than just giving a list of things. I'm more than happy to travel to you.

Number of very knowledgeable G owners down that neck of the woods - had a SAM (Southern area meet) down there about a year ago, loads of snow and quite a full house turn up - we were the only people in the pub!

If they are busy, feel free t drop me a note and I will swing by and bore you to death about G's. Some of it may even be interesting!

Yes - but then I'd have to explain to my wife that I'm going to get a G and why (sorry, I think maybe this should have gone on another current thread).
