Thank you, Fred, Betty and crew, for your wonderful hospitality when - after years of promising that we would - we did eventually make it to both of your esteemed eateries: L'Escargot Bleu and L'Escargot Blanc in Edinburgh.

We so enjoyed your cheery welcome and that splendid evening a couple of weeks ago.

Here's wishing well to you and all of yours,

Nick and Hilary.

P.S.  Although we called at both restaurants we did only dine at one... this time.

Re: Thank you Fred and Betty.

Heading to Edinburgh in a few weeks (although by train and not G), hopefully get a chance to visit one of these establishments. So, if you had to pick 1, which would it be? Bleu or Blanc...

Re: Thank you Fred and Betty.

We dined - pre theatre - at Blanc.

Sadly, and as usual, were were late and therefore in a hurry.

Happily, everyone twigged, we dined splendidly and had a lovely evening.

At least 10/10.

The following morning we dropped into Bleu to see Fred and meet Betty and enjoy an au revoir coffee.

Blanc is more of a bistro while Bleu is more of a restaurant.

Which one to choose?

"Both!"

Have a great time.

No doubt Fred named them Bleu et Blanc in honour of the Scottish Flag smiley
