I've had my 463 for a few years now and have enjoyed every mile.
Recently I have found that the steering seems fine one minute and then i will suddenly feel as though the car is pulling left. This tends to happen more often when I am carrying a heavy load.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have checked tyre pressure and that seems fine. I've also checked the tracking and the wheels were balanced a month ago... but the problem still seems to persist.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have the all the bushes checked on your rear axle. Also check brake load compensater on rear axle for correct adjustment and rear brakes for balance.

Thanks Bill...

I should have mentioned that i'm pretty much a novice when it comes to repairs and mainentance on any vehicle..

checking the "bushes" .... is that something i can do myself at home? or would i need to go to a specialist.. or just any kind of garage?

Best done on a ramp. Two trailing arms one each side, known as hockey sticks, obvious when you see them. Two big bushes at front end where they attach to chassis.
Make sure they are intact and not perished or broken.
Where they attach to axle pins(large bolts run thru bushes with steel sleeves in centre, sleeves can become oval and bushes perish.
A quick check is. on a flat surface, wirh engine running and hand brake on engage reverse gear open driver door look down at rear wheel let clutch slowly up. if G moves but wheel doesnt other than to change position in the arch. repeat in 1st gear. if same
Find replacement hockey sticks ready bushed then jack up and change one at a time. do not I Repeat DO NOT remove both at he same time. You will have the devils job to get the axle positioned again. While youve got your hands dirty and your knuckles grazed, do the panhard rod as well. thats the bar that runs from the chassis to the axle crossways.
Now check tthe front. same system other way round
