I was wondering...

what is the advantage of Stainless Steel Brake Cables as offered to GWOA members?

I'm having my car worked on next week, and was wondering if it was worth doing whilst the whole thing is apart.

I believe that they are slightly cheaper than MB, they hold the pressure better than those (stronger brakes) and they last for much longer since the rubber is not exposed to the elements.

So it's all advantages as far as I know..... but haven't done mine yet.

Cheers

I guess you mean stainless-steel braided flexible brake hoses.

The early G's had very spongy brake-pedal due to too much flexing in the rubber hoses between the chassis and the wheel calipers. The later MB ones (95 onwards) appear to be much better.

I suppose that the S-S braided ones would be much better still.
