Spare Wheel Delete W463 1993
The solution is dependent on how much you are willing to spend?
1) Have body shop fill and re-spray - Best result
2) Have some filler cut out of wood or plastic to the profiles of the hole areas. These machined or cut outs to sit flush with body line; cover the cut outs in slightly over sized dimension to the shape outline in vinyl of same body colour.
3) I like the option of just colouring the grommets - cheapest and least work.
Yes, indeed - a spare wheel ! To me, a G does not look right without one.
However, having said that, without the additional load of the spare wheels, the door supports are likely to last longer and the paint in the seams between the rear body panels less likely to crack from the added stress.
It's the current fashion. I've seen quite a few new models around London without the rear wheel or its carrier.
the fashion originated with magnificent Brabus G-V12

What about chrome-dome wheel bolts?
Or, for smoother look, chrome-dome bumper bolts from the good-old days?
