Smashed Window
I smashed my window last week and Auto glass put in a replacement rear screen...................but it was not the blue tint but clear.
I remonstrated with them and they said that the blue tint [they call it green] is now unavailable and that I could only have the clear.They said that MB dont do it and that it is not even available in Germany.My 1992 463 model has the same blue tint as my 1988 280GE.
Does anybody know better?
That is a load of rubbish since the G is currently still in production (all the window glass is the same as it was in 1979) and obviously the top-of-the-range G500s have colour coded tinted glass, haven't they? Call the parts dept on any MB garage and ask them whether they'd be able to supply it!
Put your orderfor a SH one in to G Centre NL, and I will bring it back with me on Jan 2-04
