Evening all

Always one to have the next project lined up I was wondering if it is possible to fit 2 single rear seats into a 460? as per the PUR

like the one in this link - might be cheaper to buy this one though in the long run :-)

Any thoughts.. and if you can, doe these fold forwards?

From my point of view it seems like nothing a drill and some basic fabrication can't sort - after you've got the seats of course, but I have seen an as new set on German eBay before now.

Factory seat consoles to fit LWB W460 supplied by Guido. They do not fold forward. There is also a SWB console (does not fold either). Drill and bolt through the floor.

Hi Eddie

Now of course I remember where I have seen them before - Big Green. The lack of folding might create a dead end - I regularly stick 500kgs (well 850kgs once, but that cost me two shocks & a re think on my rear spring ratings :-) of building material in the back of the G and whilst it might all go in behind the seats, the center of gravity might get a bit entertaining on a SWB.

Still like the look of it and will be a massive improvement travel wise for my girls. Perhaps I should get a trailer and treat my 30yr old G with a bit more respect.

Ill drop Guido a note and get a cost off him feels like £1,200-£1,500 though.

Simon. If I remember correctly the LWB consoles were about €250 each a few years back. SWB probably the same. Two fronts seats will set you back up to €900 for a pair of good used standard ones on ebay.de but someone here might have a pair. For Recaros expect to pay €1800 for a pair plus freight. Swap your current fronts in to the rear.

A trailer is probably a good idea :-)

Hi Eddie

Sounds a good idea and I like the current front to back switch. These type of thoughts tend to occur to me after I have bought and fitted everything!

I'm not in a rush given the next work will be the Fuel Pump mod to get the 617a ScouseG dropped in running to mid/full potential - We've since done a full detailed service and injector overhaul - followed by some significant paint work as rust has returned after 3-4 years of a fairly big rebuild. So my £2k spring lump.

The look like the seats can become the Autumn project.. I do like the thought of recaros - I think some large blue check ones went through German eBay(Guido?) about 3 months back.
