Simply an hello from a new memberOwner
Just a quick Hi! from both a new member and a new G-Wagen owner ( The owner that is, not the G!!)
Brought my 1989 300gd lwb back home to Belfast from Nottingham on Monday. 300 exciting miles by way of an introduction. Looking forward to many many more.
The G is a little unusual I suppose. Well specced with a TB Turbo conversion, a high capacity Roof mounted Aircon (A tad ugly) and a webasto preheat system that you can activate by remote or mobile phone!. 9 seater as well.
Not sure if this is known as a 460 or 463 model, as i have seen you all discussing. Perhaps someone can elaborate on the difference?
Bye for now
hi buckalec
Good to hear you are enjoying your G Wagen.
Sounds very much like the one Wheelhouse have had for sale for a little while, a smart looking G indeed. If it is, it's a 460.
Heres a good place for a run down of the various G's http://www.g4rce.net/engl/index.html

Hi Buckalec,
It looks to me that the world is indeed a very small place. I bet that your car is the one shown in the pics below, as it attended our 2003 GWOA AGM at Rockignham Castle.
Nice motor indeed. It is a W460 powered by the OM617 engine converted to turbo diesel by TB Turbos.
If you want to know about G-Wagens and also see more interesting pics I can also recommend my personal website.
Cheers
:D Thats the one, the gentleman who sold that to Wheelhouse also had a 463 with a TB conversion for sale. I was very tempted indeed. I don't think there are many G's that get past the collective eyes of these forums
Thanks to all who took the trouble to reply to my first ever posting on a website!!
Your links were very helpful for filling out the gaps in my knowledge.
You were right about the dealer: Nik Wheelhouse in Nottingham. A Gentleman it has to be said.
Surreal to see photos of G300 RTY at your annual meet. Hope 1 day to attend.
Thanks again,
Martin, (AKA Bukkalec)
