Side strip fixing plugs. Any?
One of my side strip fixings has popped out. Does anyone have a couple of actual spares they can post me?
I assume it is just a plastic plug in the metal door hole, and a screw. So I could just use DIY rawl plugs, but if you have the actual part, happy to buy a beer etc. Also-- should I drill out the old screw/plug, or try to pull it out (that won't work). Is the hole circular or square?
Hello.
its a round hole with a square plug.. a trim puller quite effectively gets these out.
they are still available at merc. I can look the part number up for you on epc if you want. Sadly i have none spare.

What can happen!
Ive got a spare front wing pair in used good condition if anybody needs them.
Thanks. I think I have seen what the plugs look like (round hole, square head on the rawl plug). On mine it looks like the metal socket in the rubber strip has come away (maybe the head of the screw rusted off), and its still screwed into the plug. I will try twisting that off when it stops raining. The old rawl plug might then be usable in situ with a plain (galvanised) screw.
Not a biggie. But I will post a couple of close ups.
