Hi All,

Anyone know of a good supplier of side steps for my G500 1999 Model. LWB.

Will be going for paint soon so wanted to install side steps at the same time.

I looked on ORC but they seem very expensive.. A used set would be fine.

Thanks

Re: Side Steps

I don't think you'll find any OEM that are cheap. I have non OEM's (iirc about £250) which are not quite as nice, but ok.

Re: Side Steps

If you can get hold of him - G Wagen in caversham - have some after market  SWB and I think LWB side steps that look like this;

Which look to me as the same as the standard fit ones? I think they are around £700 per pair.

Re: Side Steps

These are pretty much like mine, if they are the same then they're cheaper than I remember. They're ok.

Re: Side Steps

Thanks All,

The Original Style Ebay ones say they are out of stock but have emailed the seller.

Have also emailed G Wagen in Caversham.

If anyone sees any others please do let me know.

Re: Side Steps

Second set seem to be genuine and original, not a bad price as long as they are for LWB?

I have asked the question.

Re: Side Steps

Genuine question, how do you get into a G without steps? I had mine put on before I picked it up, so I've never tried and I'm not sure I'd want to.

It is actually very difficult to get into this G without side steps... not for me but certainly elder members of my family!

The wheels will look great, ill post some pics ;)

Re: Side Steps

I use to carry a stool in the boot to help my mum getting in ... The down side is that she never wanted to come out again :-) you lucky she left before you bought it :-)

it is also slightly lifted with the ORC springs on !! About 2 inches
