Re: Shocks All terrain

I've just replaced my bilstiens with Sachs Sportlines.

Way firmer ride and fixed the last bit of vibration from the front. I'm pretty sure the front passenger side was completely goosed

£220 for all 4.

Yes, about half the price of getting the origional sachs units done at the merc dealer.

Interesting!  What is the ORC part number.  I had Sachs fitted to the rear, a bit soft maybe but good I thought, mind you i have taken the rear seats out to reduce the weight and I think of throwing out the jump seat as well.!

If they are LWB Jump seats - and in good condition, they are expensive and useful for any London member with a LWB who wanted to get the congestion charging exemption....... Just saying....

Why do jump seats "get the congestion charging exemption"?  In my book they are a waste of space and weight - bean bags are more comfortable and a lot lighter!

Hi Alan,

The seats per say, do not give you a right to congestion charge exemption. Its the fact that you can claim that the G can become a 9 seater, which puts it in the exemption.

From memory, new ones are about €2-3K? Was just making sure you do not inadvertently give away something that could go towards the new 500/55...
