Re: Rubber Floor Mats

Arnie,

You ain't wrong buddy !

Loads of em are popping up on .de ! Upstairs for dancing huh !

But I would have liked a continuous rear one that runs through in one long strip covering the centre part where the aircon vents are at the back of the centre console.

Maybe i'm asking to much !

Thanks very very much for helping me chief,

Neil.

Re: Rubber Floor Mats

There  was such a long one available for the 463. It might fit the 460, too.

Just search with '463 ' instead of '460', but last one I saw was around euro-70. Original MB part, though. Not aftermarket.

Here are some

Re: Rubber Floor Mats

Well, the front mats are almost symmetrical so they may well fit with some slight trimming at the edges. The 460 footwells are also slightly different to the 463 anyway.

Also make sure that they are NOT for the 463 post 1999, as thereafter there is a massive difference to the 460,

Finding RHD versions specifically for the 460, I fear will be almost impossible.

Bear in mind also that the new ones you found are aftermarket mats. The other, used ones, which look a bit dirty are genuine MB items with an Mb part number. They are super-tough and will clean up nicely just with some soap and water. However, they are a tailored fit for the 463, and  as you see, they are relatively expensive and I am not sure that they would be a 100% perfect fit for the 460. So perhaps the aftermarket ones may be better after all for the 460, as they are a bit less 'tailored' around the seats and door sill area.

Note also that SWB versions and LWB versions are different

Re: Rubber Floor Mats

A 2014 G350 !!!

Good luck to you buddy you have deep enough pockets to choose any vehicle you may wish ! (Although i've been round long enough to know nobody gives you wealth you gotta get off your arse and make it happen all by yourself ! So congratulations on hitting the big time ! I'm embarking on my own similar journey. I have a small shopfitting and interior fit-out business and everytime I make a few quid someobdy pops up and takes it !)

One day I have dreams of the 700HP brabus edition but until then my ol gurl is my lifes work !

She's clean and she's pretty and I love her but just wannamake sure she stays that way !

The G350 on the 2014 model year is a different beast and the mats sadly will not fit my old 1986 280GE w460

I'm thinking .de LHD aftermarket and turn them upside down ? (That should be a close fit and will help keep my carpet nice coming home from fishing trips)

The search is still ongoing as the budget is tight so i'll continue to update with my findings as things progress.

Your 350 wasn't graphite grey was it ? I just finished a project in shoreditch (redchurch street) and a young lad had one parked on that street all the time. she was lovely and sounded like a spitfire !!!

I have been informed of many niggles (well badly carried out repairs under my beast which are gonna take me some time and plenty dosh to fix up)

I love these motors but hadn't bargained on the worries she'd bring me.

If it's got tits or tyres its trouble pal !!!

THANKS TO ALL !

Neil.

That won't work as the accelerator pedal is always on the right. However, you can keep them the right way up with maybe just a small trim to the edges.

It was calcite white with designo sand leather

Already regretting the sale. May be by regular use could have got used to it.Advertised it last week and 15 dealers called. Bought it for a good price still lost £3000 for doing 1000 miles

Re: Rubber Floor Mats

One day you'll get another one !

I have driven mine round town and she ain't to bad. bit lacking in power so looking right rather longer than i'd like before pulling out !!! But other she done ok.

Mine is older so no creature comforts so town and daily commute would be a bit of a bind I guess.

But everytime I pass a defender I laugh and say ha ha they are wrestling to keep her on the road. (those things plug away nicely in the mud but you simply cannot drive them. If you've ever wondered why the driver has their window open it ain't to look cool is coz you smash your knuckles on it when steering !!!)

Yours was pretty !!! I like her. Black wheels to ! I like black wheels. Mine are a bit beat up so i'm thinking of removeing them and refurbing then powder coating matt black. it'll match all the rubbers and trims then.

But they ain't a cheap ride. Mine keeps throwing up issues which are gonna hit my pockets hard but in for a penny in for a pound !

She's here to stay now !
