hey there,

for all of you with 463 pre 2000 who are thinking about fitting a navigation system, i got mine installed next to the diff-lock buttons. the buttons which have been there before went to the left side in a second line. it's got an on screen manue where i flick through via a ir-remote-control. quite pricy, but doesn't look like one of these bulky aftermarket on top of the dashboard things.

Nice looking job.

Have you replaced all the wood panelling with some kind of snake skin leather? or is that just reflections?

no snake-skin-leather, sorry. carbon kevlar. not the real stuff though, but a brilliant copy in orange. they do it in a sort of wet print in a couple of layers, to get the 3-dimensional look of carbon. first in orange than the carbon optic print.
a company that for excample could do that ist kh-design.de

i loaded a high res picture up on my server, but in respect of those who are surfing this forum not on dsl, i didn't want to show it here. everybody who's got intrest please look here: http://www.g-club-sued.de/sonstiges/IMG_1015.JPG

it's a switch for the router.
as you can see on the picture below the passanger has his own flatscreen in the sun-visor. due to the fact that i've got 4 sources (dvd, vcr, tv-module and the playstation), and 4 screens (beside the one for the navigation) we had to install a router, that every body in the car could use the source the person wanted, and not everybody had to watch the same thing. the button is just to select the source....

That's quite the setup, must of cost you more than a pretty penny.

Just curious, what year is your G?

it's a 1994, and was up to 1999 a 350TD. it was than converted in a 5.6 liter petrol.
the engine they had put in (extrem-motorsport), blew up this year (wasn't their fault), so i got orc to put another one in, an AMG 5.6 liter (same engine, just a little bit more power).
interioer, was also done this year, suspension is new (orc coils and doubble shocks), and i've got new axes in there (armored (stronger) from a mb-guard modell).
so you could say: the car is fairly new :D
